Biography
After graduating in political science and sociology from Sciences Po (Paris) and the LSE (London School of Economics) in 1998 and 1999, Nicolas Grospierre turned to photography to explore themes of collective memory, identity, and the utopian modernist legacy in architecture. He won the Golden Lion at the 11th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2008 (with Kobas Laksa) for Hotel Polonia and has published notable works, including Modern Forms (2016) and Modern Spaces (2018). His recent exhibitions include The Best Possible City (2018), The Alder King (2022), and A House for Culture (2024).
