Biography

Lives and works in Siena (IT)

Lior Gal (FR/IL, 1977) moved to Paris at the age of 21, where he studied photography at the MJM Graphic Design school. He then exhibited internationally, notably in Austria, Germany, Belgium, the United States, India, Italy and Israel. In 2023, he took a long trip to India, including a residency at Emami Art Calcutta, where he developed his interest in kites and the idea of movement. He continued this project with a second residency at Bildraum Studio in Vienna (2024), followed by a solo exhibition, Knots on Silence. Lior Gal's work has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, notably at Tapetenwerk (Leipzig) in 2022 and at Hangar (Brussels): Distant Light (2019), Unique (2024) and Apparitions (2024).
