Biography
Alma Haser (1989, DE) graduated in Photography from Nottingham Trent University (UK) in 2010. She has received numerous awards, including: the Magenta Foundation’s Bright Spark Award in 2013 for her Cosmic Surgery series, fourth prize in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize in 2012 for The Ventriloquist and the PDN Photo Annual Award in 2016 for Eureka Effect. Her past series Pseudo explores what is real and what is manufactured through these innovative methods. Her work has been exhibited internationally in several solo and group shows, including solo exhibitions Everything Has an End, Only the Sausage Has Two at The Photographers’ Gallery, London (2025) and Cosmic Surgery at The SPAO Gallery, Canada (2019). Recent group exhibitions include Paris Photo at the Grand Palais, Paris (2025), OFF Bratislava: PERSONA INCOGNITA in Slovakia (2024), The Weird Ones: New Narratives in Contemporary Collage in Valladolid, Spain (2024), and Altered at Candela Gallery, Richmond, USA (2023).
